People always ask if you can skin an acoustic guitar. Well...the answer is a resounding YES! This SkinYourSkunk.com customer choose our American Pride graphic, installed it and sanded it with sandpaper. He wanted a distressed look and the light sanding removed some of the clear coat and the ink. The effect is really cool!
The only thing I do tell acoustic customers is that the sound of the guitar (unamplified) will be a bit muted and/or bassy. Not that, that is a bad thing...but it will change the tone.

A new SkinYourSkunk.com customer wanted a custom Guitar Skin for their Explorer. They sent us a picture that was cool and interesting and we sized, positioned and printed the design on our marine grade, premium vinyl guitar skins.
The result is simply amazing!

This HP Lovecraft inspired skin began with an image provided by the customer. We spent quite a bit of time sizing and placing the main, body skin before moving on to the headstock skin.
The headstock skin is a duplicated portion of the body skin, sized differently and adding a special font and font-fill pattern. Then we added the HP Lovecraft text and the result is simply amazing.
