Ex-MCR Bass Player’s New Band

Mikey Way, brother of Gerard Way, both ex-members of popular Emo/Pop-Punk band My Chemical Romance, has announced his new band and has even released a song for it.  MCR broke up in March of 2013.  They will be releasing their final greatest hits album on March 25, 2014.  Mikey Way, ex-bass guitarist has formed his own band since the breakup.  This band is called Electric Century.  He announced this new band a week ago.  They just recently released their first song called “I Lied.”  View the video down below.

ATL Performs “Oh, Calamity” for the 1st Time

 

Popular band All Time Low performed a song released all the way back in September 2013 for the first time this week.  This is a HUGE deal for ATL fans. All Time Low is a punk-pop band that totally rocks. Their most recent popular song includes Vic Fuentes and is called “A Love Like War,” which you can view below as well as the video for “Oh, Calamity.”

All Time Low is now touring in Europe and will be returning to the US in the end of March. Check out their first live performance and make sure to pick up some tickets for your local area to their concert!  The US tickets, at least for my area isn’t on sale until the 28th, so keep your eyes open for that.

Although Skinny isn’t all into the lovey songs, Sassy is and she can’t wait to share her favorite rocked out versions of famous Miley Cyrus songs with everyone.  Skinny doesn’t mind looking at Miley all that much, I mean, look at her.

This first one is the infamous “Wrecking Ball” although Skinny doesn’t mind seeing Miley bare it all in the well known music video, Sassy’s more focused on the music and found an awesome punk rock alternative to it. Check it out.

Everyone loves a good strong female vocal with some hard guitar and bass behind her.  Sassy’s really loving this cover of “We Can’t Stop,” which features Kimmi Smiles using her sweet voice to advantage over the hard rock style music in the background.  Plus the video’s pretty fun.

My Chemical Romance’s Last Song

MCR has officially announced that their last song entitled “Fake Your Death” will be coming out Monday February 17, one week from today.  They tweeted this today.  MCR announced their breakup on March 22, 2013.  It’s been almost a year since announcing their breakup and now they will finally be ending their careers as MCR members.

MCR’s Greatest Hits Album entitled May Death Never Stop You is something else to keep your eyes peeled for especially if you’re a huge MCR fan.

Punk Goes 90s Vol. II

The Punk Goes series is very well known and takes different styles of music, and turns them into a punk/alternative rock music.  Punk Goes Christmas came out around Christmas time, but many rumors suggested that Punk Goes Christmas wasn’t going to be their official yearly album.  Rumors proved true when Punk Goes announced their official album would be Punk Goes 90s Volume Two! The first Punk Goes 90s included tracks such as Black Hole Sun redone by Copeland, You Outta Know redone by The Killing Moon, and The Beautiful People redone by Eighteen Visions.  These were originally made popular but Soundgarden, Alanis Morissette and Marilyn Manson. 

The track list for the second volume is available here.  I’m excited about Torn, being redone by Hands like Houses, Gangsta’s Paradise redone by Falling in Reverse and All Star redone my Chunk! No, Captain Chunk!  The new album will be released April 1st, AKA April Fools Day, so keep an eye out for a prank.

They have already released a song off the album.  Below I have “My Own Worst Enemy,” originally done by Lit, but now redone by Get Scared.

Memphis May Fire New Album Details

Memphis May Fire is a metalcore band with a great mix of screaming and regular singing vocals.  MMF was on tour the end of last year with Sleeping With Sirens, Issues and Breathe Carolina. They have announced that they will be releasing a new album in the beginning of this year. It’s predicted that they will start a new tour after this album is released to promote the album.  MMF has described the upcoming album as a “soundtrack to an action film” feel.  In the middle of December they finished recording this album. The title for this album is “Unconditional.”  Unconditional will be available on March 25, 2014.

Today, preordering began and MMF officially released their first song off of the album.  This song is called “No Ordinary Love”  This song really shows the versatility of the band and it is pretty damn awesome.  I’m so happy this came out and I’m extremely excited for the new album. Motley Crue Announces Farewell Tour

Legendary Motley Crue announces that they will be doing their final tour with Alice Cooper.  Motley Crue has been around since 1981.  They’ve had some great hits throughout the years such as “Girls, Girls, Girls”  “Shout at the Devil”  “Smokin’ in the Boys Room” and of course “Dr. Feelgood.”  Below is their press conference announcing their final tour.  Although it’s long, it’s definitely worth the watch, especially if you’re a big fan.

I know a lot of people are sad about their departure from touring, but lets take a moment to remember that there’s a BRAND NEW TOUR happening!  This tour will be starting July 2nd and continuing until November 16th.  It’s going across the US and will hit pretty much anywhere so any and every Motley Crue or Alice Cooper fan can go.  It should be epic.  You can get your tickets here.

As you can see, we have updated Skinny’s Blog and boy do we have a lot of changes in store for you!  First, you will be seeing posts from both Skinny and Sassy and we are no longer just a blog about our products.

The New SkinYourSkunk.com Blog is about Rock & Metal Music, Guitars, Funny Stuff, Sexy Girls and other odd postings.  In short…we are now a general entertainment site run by, and with the slightly creepy, demented attitude of your host…Skinny The Skunk!

OK…now the interesting story.  A SkinYourSkunk.com customer wanted a completely custom skin featuring an image of Maria Brink from In This Moment.  Not a problem!
