Skinny has been busy working with a few customers creating custom Guitar Skins based upon their specifications. First there is Paul’s Ted Nugent Tribute Guitar Skin.
Paul wanted to deck out his Les Paul (or LP Styled) guitar with a Ted Nugent theme and chose SkinYourSkunk.com and our Custom Guitar Skin Service. Being from that generation, I was excited about this idea. Paul and I worked together and centered on Uncle Ted’s Free for All album cover. This was fairly easy to find and we worked to get it sized just right. The Guitar Skin came out great. Working on the headstock took a little more effort. But again…working hand-in-hand with our customer, Paul ended up with a very cool guitar.
Michael was a different story…but still a good one. Michael chose our “Feathers” stock Guitar Skin and Headstock Skin. His bass guitar came out great and he had some extra vinyl left over after applying his skin. Michael decided to use that extra skin and cover the fret board, and it came out great. He said it doesn’t affect the action or playability one bit. My guess is this is just fine for a bass guitar, but I don’t know how it would work on a six-string. Regardless…how beautiful is this?
And last but not least is Kelly’s Confederate Grunge Guitar Skin. Again, a body and headstock skin set. It came out great and I especially like Kelly’s guitar collection. Skinny got to get himself some of those beauties!!! Kelly has since ordered our standard Confederate Guitar Skin and Headstock set and I’m am eagerly awaiting some shots of that project.
