Over at SkinYourSkunk.com, we have been busting our asses getting ready for a huge surprise…and as usual, Skinny can’t keep a secret. So I’m going to fill you in a little bit early. First of all…SkinYourSkunk.com isn’t changing a thing at our website!!! Same pricing, same service, same sizing and proofing service, and the Best Guitar Skins on the internet! SkinYourSkunk.com is simply expanding.
A few weeks ago, Skinny received a call from Amazon.com. In short, the message was a representative from Amazon.com telling me about their desire to carry our SkinYourSkunk.com collection of Guitar Skins and offer them through the Amazon.com website. Now…this offer was very interesting because Amazon apparently decided that they would put together a team to work with us to help with all the details and hoops we had to jump through. And there were quite a few.
Working together, Amazon.com and all of us at SkinYourSkunk.com devised a plan. Next week (most likely Tuesday, July 22nd), SkinYourSkunk.com Guitar Skins will be available through Amazon.com’s amazing website…to the world!
We had to do a few things differently. First…we couldn’t offer custom sizing of our skins as we do at SkinYourSkunk.com nor offer proofs prior to shipping. This is because Amazon requires a short ship cycle. So…we chose to offer three sizes of skins to fit any guitar, bass or acoustic.
Standard Size Guitar Skins: 20” Wide by 15” Tall - Standard 20 inches in width by 15 inches in height. Fits Strat, Tele, Les Paul, SG, PR, Etc.
Large Size Guitar Skins: 22” Wide by 18” Tall - Large 22 inches in width by 18 inches in height. Fits Mockingbird, Jazz Basses, Acoustics, Semi-Acoustics, Etc.
Extra Large Size Guitar Skins: 26” Wide by 24” Tall - Extra Large 26 inches in width by 24 inches in height. Fits Flying V, Explorer, Dimebag, Jazz Basses, Etc.
We also had to redesign our typical Guitar Skin image database to much larger images and samples. Here are a few of the new, Amazon.com formatted display images.
Beginning (hopefully) on Tuesday, July 22nd, SkinYourSkunk.com becomes the ONLY Guitar Skin brand on Amazon.com…offering our product to THE WORLD! Yes, we are extremely excited and to be honest with you…Skinny’s wife and kids are even more excited.
Once again…SkinYourSkunk.com the website, product and service is going to remain 100% the same! If you like our personal touch from choosing a skin, to custom sizing your skin, to sending you a proof for approval and mailing it to your door…visit us at SkinYourSkunk.com and we will continue to work with you. We will also continue to offer our Gift Certificates, Custom Skin Service, Collage Skins, Sunburst Skins and even more from our site at SkinYourSkunk.com. These custom services can’t be offered on Amazon due to numerous factors.
